Community Projects
- How you can help Pay-it-Forward -
At HerEmpire Collective, we believe in creating real change through action.
Through our affiliate NPC, The Pink Chameleon Foundation, we run several community projects aimed at uplifting and bettering the community.
Each division of HerEmpire contributes to these initiatives, from education and skills development to sustainability and support for those in need.
Together, we’re creating positive change where it’s needed most - we’re building a stronger, more self-sustainable community.

Able Hands
Working Program - Differently Abled
The Able Hands Project creates real work opportunities within the Hub for differently abled individuals aged 16 and up. Some perform simple tasks; others learn practical skills—but every person is given the chance to contribute, earn an income, and regain dignity and purpose. This program is self-funded, and to keep it alive, we invite you to sponsor a participant. Your support helps us continue offering meaningful work to those who need it most.

STEAMI Robotics
First Lego League Robotics for All
The STEAMI Robotics Project brings the world of robotics to children who would otherwise never have the chance to explore it. Through First Lego League teams of six, we ensure that at least 50% of every team is made up of sponsored children from underprivileged backgrounds. We don’t just prepare them for competitions—we teach them valuable robotics, coding, and teamwork skills that open doors to future opportunities. Your support helps us keep this program accessible to every child, regardless of circumstance.

Starlight Dome Project
Bringing the Universe to Every Child
The Starlight Dome Project will bring a state-of-the-art geodesic dome planetarium to George—making the wonders of space, science, and immersive learning accessible to children who would never be able to visit a planetarium in major cities. This dome, generously sponsored by a UK-based company, will offer breathtaking educational experiences, inspiring young minds through astronomy, science shows, and interactive exploration. We are currently raising funds to cover the shipment to South Africa and the travel costs for two engineers from the UK to install the dome. With your support, we can open up a whole new universe of opportunity and curiosity for children in our community.

The Giving Garden
Growing Food, Growing Futures
The Giving Garden is a community-driven space where fresh herbs and vegetables are grown for bartering, education, and supply to those in need. It’s more than just a garden—it's a hands-on learning space where children discover how to grow their own food, and community members gain skills in sustainable gardening. The produce is used within the Hub, traded, or shared to support food security. This project brings people together, fosters self-reliance, and teaches the value of growing and giving back.

STEAMI on Wheels
Taking Science, Tech & Innovation to Every Child
STEAMI on Wheels is a mobile science and innovation centre designed to reach rural and underserved communities who can’t access our main STEAMI Centre. We bring hands-on learning in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math, and Innovation directly to children in adjacent towns and remote areas—sparking curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking where it’s needed most. With your support, we can drive opportunity, education, and inspiration to every corner of our region.

Skills for Change
Sponsor a Learnership. Change a Life.
Skills for Change gives individuals the opportunity to learn a skill, gain a formal certificate, and take a real step towards employment and independence. Many in our community simply can’t afford the cost of training. By sponsoring a learnership, you give someone the chance to break the cycle of poverty, build confidence, and secure a brighter future. One skill. One certificate. One life changed.

Heart of the Hub
Help Us Keep the Doors Open
The Heart of the Hub program invites individuals, businesses, and sponsors to help keep HerEmpire Collective running and serving the community. As a self-funded initiative, we rely on donations and sponsorships to sustain our daily operations, training programs, and community projects. Every contribution—big or small—helps us continue creating opportunities, uplifting lives, and building a self-sustainable future for women, youth, and children. Together, we can keep the heartbeat of the Hub alive.

STEAMI Exploratorium
Where Curiosity Comes to Life
The STEAMI Exploratorium is an interactive learning space where children can explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math, and Innovation through hands-on discovery. Designed to spark imagination and ignite curiosity, this playful environment gives every child the chance to learn, invent, and dream—no matter their background. With your support, we can keep inspiring the next generation of thinkers, creators, and problem-solvers.

Hands of Hope
Volunteer. Make a Difference.
Hands of Hope is our volunteer program for individuals who want to give their time, skills, or heart to help build stronger communities. From assisting in training programs and events to mentoring, gardening, or simply lending a hand where it’s needed—every volunteer plays a vital role in the impact we create.
